Hi Blasters, we have waited until tonight to check the weather for tomorrow and unfortunately there is 100% chance of 20-40 mm of rain expected in the afternoon.
With this in mind, we have reluctantly decided to cancel the session. We will try and add one on at the end of the season.
See you all Friday 5th Feb
Marita, Caitlin and Darcy 💚🏏
With return to cricket around the corner please read the attached KUCC and 1 page training guide carefully. In order to enable the club to be COVID ready, junior cricket training for KUCC will start in the week beginning 9th November 2020, with games that weekend. Please keep an eye out over the coming days for instructions around the 1Breadcrumb contact tracing app, which will be an important process for keeping us playing cricket safely this season
Please see attached the KUCC Covid Return to Play and Train plan for season 2020/21. Please keep an eye out for further information regarding the start to training shortly, once government and council access is approved.
Following last Sunday’s Victorian Government COVID-19 Road Map announcement, and pending further information from the government and recommendations from Cricket Victoria, as it currently stands, the following looks likely:
- Outdoor training expected to resume on October 26, exact size of group(s) to be determined
- Matches to commence on the weekend beginning Friday 13 November
In order to get the club as fully prepared as possible for a return to junior cricket, we are now opening registrations for all our junior competition teams for the 2020/21 season:
Woolworths Junior Blasters – (Friday)
Super 7s (Stage 1), Fast 9s (Stage 2) – (Sunday)
U12 – (Fri/Sat)
U14 – (Fri/Sat)
U16 – (Fri/Sat)
U14 Girls (Wed)
Registrations can be made via the link below or through Team App.
Any new players are most welcome.
Please note that due to the delayed start to the season we have discounted our registration fees by approximately 10% for our Super 7s, Fast 9s, U12, U14 and U16 teams.
Our Woolworths Blasters remains at the CA/CV recommended entry price.
Also, just another reminder for anyone who has not yet completed our pre-season survey. We are currently in the process of trying to sort out our teams and we would certainly appreciate your responses to assist us with our planning for the 2020/21 season. We will be closing the survey next Saturday 19 September. The survey can be found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScFJrC_87UrM-vZF3NsHyfepYLAipNomZUiLlUS0srvV9FGJA/viewform?usp=sf_link
Please rest assured that the club is working to ensure that it maintains a COVID safe environment based on the recommendations and policies put in place by various authorities including: State and Local Government as well as Cricket Victoria.
We have currently established a COVID Safe Plan and a COVID Officer Team to ensure we comply with the relevant health and safety protocols.

KUCC Junior Co-ordinators
Dear Kerrimuir families,
We hope that you are all keeping well and safe during this very difficult time for us all. We thought it might be an opportune time to connect with you all to let you know that the committee of Kerrimuir United Cricket Club are in the process of planning for the start of the 2020/21 junior cricket season, whenever that may be.
To help us with our planning, we are asking parents to fill out a short survey (less than 5 minutes) so that we are ready to go once restrictions are lifted and approvals to play are provided. We are not asking for registrations at this stage and will advise you all when these are open.
The survey is at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScFJrC_87UrM-vZF3NsHyfepYLAipNomZUiLlUS0srvV9FGJA/viewform?usp=sf_link
If you would like to discuss any questions you may have, including concerns you may have about being able to pay for registration if the pandemic has impacted your income, please let us know.
Due to current Stage 4 restrictions we are unable to have a Junior Information evening as would normally occur during August. Instead we have placed the information that would normally be presented on this night in the following presentation – Junior Information Season 2020/21.
We are also asking as many parents as possible to complete a brief online infection control training course. This online course takes around 15-20 mins to complete. Maintaining this register assists in demonstrating to Cricket Victoria and the City of Whitehorse that we are running an effective education campaign with our members. Having a visible and effective approach to member education is an important pre-requisite to launching the cricket season when possible and also getting further access to City of Whitehorse managed facilities such as the Springfield Park Club Rooms.
The course can be accessed at:
After Registration the course to select is “Infection Control Training – COVID 19”
Please send course completion certificates to: email@example.com
We are fully committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for your children to play cricket this season. More details around season commencement will follow once they come to hand.
Stay safe and thank you.

Senior cricket is back this weekend, and while we hope everyone had an enjoyable break it’s been terrible seeing the news coming in from the fire affected areas over the past month. The club has decided to help in whatever small way we can, and we’ve set up a Go Fund Me page to help raise some much needed funds for some important appeals.
All money donated will be split between the Victorian Bushfire Appeal and the Wildlife Victoria Bushfire Appeal, and all donations are tax deductible.
Whether you’re a player, supporter, family or sponsor, we’d love to see the Muirs community come together to support this important cause and help these devastated regions. The club has made a significant contribution to kick things off, now it’s your turn
Stay tuned this week for some more fundraising initiatives on the weekend as we do what we can.
As always, Go Muirs.https://www.gofundme.com/f/kerrimuir-united-cc-bushfire-fundraiser?teamInvite=5ouiRyUqsz2FTnXkFEUPeSS4lIrdvHwSwNdRrh8QRKSx3Nn71qhRu2mZTOhttfsn
With our growth in female participation and the first ever junior girls team playing for the Muirs this season in Under 14’s, we will have a stall at the upcoming All Girls Carnival to be held at Box Hill City Oval on the morning of Sunday 8th December 2019.
So please come down for a morning of fun and visit the Muirs stand!
Welcome to the latest update on Muirs on field progress. Each round we highlight a few teams from across the age spectrum of the club.
There was a Muirs derby in the Under 14Bs over the past two Friday nights at Koonung Park, as the Blue and White sides faced off. This game featured clubmate against clubmate, friend against friend and in one case, brother against brother! The blue team came away with the points, but by all reports the game was well fought out by both teams and played in good spirits.
The Under 16A Friday night team are off to a strong start, currently sitting second on the ladder. This round saw them take on Vermont at Vermont, and led by James and Caleb with the ball, and Darcy and Alistair with the bat, they triumphed with several overs to spare. A number of players from this team also made good contributions in senior teams over this round, showing the talent that is blossoming at this level.
In the seniors, the Fourths laid on a grandstand finish at Blackburn South. Chasing 214 to win, the team looked to be in trouble at 6/96 with a batsman retired hurt. But Bryn, Elvis, Turtle and Giggles had other ideas, steering the side to 9/200. Nadeep came limping back out with Elvis as his runner, and survived long enough for Turtle to first bring up his 50, and then clobber a boundary over long on in the last over of the day to seal a memorable win.
We thank our sponsors for their great support of the club, and this week want to highlight Atlas Concrete and Landscapes, Dave’s Dog Wash, and Ritter Land Rover. Please continue to support the businesses that support our club, and let them know you are part of the Muirs!
